Overview

In this project, we worked on a mixed roofing system that included both pitched and flat roof areas, combining two different materials to ensure optimal functionality and durability.

The pitched roof was covered with high-quality tiles, which were securely fixed to timber battens. These battens provide structural support, allowing the tiles to be firmly nailed down, ensuring stability and longevity. The tiles offer superior protection against the elements, giving the building a traditional and visually appealing finish while also providing excellent weather resistance.

For the flat roof areas, we used WestWood, a robust and long-lasting material chosen for its outstanding waterproofing and weather-resistant properties. This flat section was designed to complement the pitched areas, ensuring a seamless transition between the two roof types while maintaining the integrity of the overall roofing structure.

To enhance the overall performance of the roof, we also installed a red vapour barrier/membrane. This membrane helps regulate moisture and prevent condensation from damaging the roofing structure, ensuring the long-term protection of the building. The vapour barrier is an essential component that helps to maintain the roof’s durability and energy efficiency.

This project showcases our ability to deliver complex roofing systems that combine different materials, providing both style and function for a comprehensive, long-lasting roofing solution.
